2 months

Well we are past 2 months old. Tristan survived his first vaccinations. As a nurse I am used to giving the vaccines and now I know whats its like to be on the other side of your child receiving them. We had 24 hours of a cranky baby which is not typical demeanor for our little guy.
So at 2 months old the doctor told us that Tristan is in the 96% for weight and 73% for height. He is a big little boy! I think he gets his appetite from his daddy. We have been enjoying his frequent gummy smiles, cooing and giggles.
Here is our latest picture taken yesterday:

This is Tristan and his Aloha outfit made by Bonnie. We think he looks quite dapper. Our friends told us that  he looks like a tourist...ha ha ha

                                                           Baptism

It is also time to think about his baptism. We have scheduled it for May 1, 2011 at 9am at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church if anyone would like to attend and needs an excuse to come to Hawaii feel free to help us celebrate.

The Yeti

well its been 7 weeks since Tristan was born, and people aren't kidding when they say time flies and the baby grows like a weed! My parents Dave and June came for a visit when Tristan was just 2 weeks old. During that time Tristan experienced his first time at the beach and his first sail. i think sailing has to be his favorite past time because it rocked him right to sleep, although his missed the spectacular Hawaiian sunset.
Brett's mom then followed my parents and Tristan really enjoyed a daily snooze on grandma. She was very helpful in making sure that we were well fed by cooking for us. Thanks!

As far as Tristan's personality he is pretty simple. He cries when he's hungry or needs to burp. We are told that we are really fortunate that he has a good sleep pattern. He goes to bed at midnight and sleeps 4-5hrs, and on very lucky nights 7 to 8 hrs. i cant quite figure out why some nights he sleeps longer. So far the only correlation for the blissful nights sleep is going out for frozen yogurt before bed. So i figure I may have to have a nightly yogurt so my son will sleep through the night. Ohhh the sacrifices we make for our children :)
He has also started to enjoy his swing and bouncer more. The swing has become a running joke because he for some reason has a giant pooo while swinging almost every time he is placed in it. He has also acquired the nickname the "YETI" in part for his large feet, odd squeaky grunts, and hairy ears. If you have ever watched Jersey shore we have also dubbed him the "Situation" because something is always happening...obviously we have been watching far too much bad reality TV since Tristan's arrival.
