surprise surprise!

Well the boat got rocked a few weeks ago at the Gontarek house. I had been having sever muscle and back pain for several weeks along with low energy which I contributed to having an 19 month old. After discussing my symptoms with friends the thought was that I had fibromyalgia. It finally occurred to me to take a pregnancy test. To our shock it was positive! This news pulled the rug right out from under our feet. After we got over the initial shock we were excited and amazed at our second miracle baby. We were told our chances of concieving naturally were slimm to none. The baby is due to be born in early March and we cant wait to see if we are having a boy or a girl.

Tristan is a little fish. he has no fear of the water, and loves to put his water wings on and play in the waves. Brett put him on a kick board and let him boogie board on to the sand. He Loved it and shouted wowie!!! I think Bretts going to have a surf buddy real soon!

18 months!

Little Tristan is now 18 months old. He's quite a little man and loves to try to be a big boy by drinking from a regular cup and sitting in a regular chair instead of a high chair. He loves to chatter and sing the itsy Bitsy spider. His favorite words that we here most frequently are waff..ie waffle when he's hungry, cheers... Not sure where he got that one, .ous...ie outside..and of course ball, oh no, dog, uh oh...and dis dis meaning this. He's obsessed with balls. It drives him crazy to go past the giant bin of balls at the grocery store. He also loves cars and says OH wow.. When he hears loud motors. He still charms the ladies by waving and blowing kisses. We think hes going to be in to soccer as he is extremely good at kicking balls and does this repetitively.  Here are some recent pictures

Our little man is always on the move and growing up so fast.  He loves going outside on the deck to shoot hoops or throw anything and everything off of the deck. Our little cassinova is trying to perfect his kiss blowing and winking for his lady friends. There is a rumor at daycare that his nickname is lips and that hes a kissing fool...maybe mom and dad kiss him too much at home.

For Easter we made our way to Wyoming to visit grandma and grandpa. He had his first experience in the snow sledding and swinging. He got an easter basket and devoured his chocolate bunny and jelly beans (with dads help). The weather was beautiful while we were there and we had a great time.

B is for Birthday Bob Marley and Blazing a trail

January 14th was Tristan's 1st birthday! We celebrated in traditional Hawaiian fashion at the Elks club where 30 of Tristan's closest friends joined us. The Theme was Bob Marley One Love One year. We decorated the pool side venue in peace signs and tie dyed decorations while jamming to Bob.  The guests tie dyed t shirts, and Tristan enjoyed his first taste of cake and icing!

Babys 1st Christmas!

Christmas was a blast this year. It's so much fun having a little one to get you in the Christmas spirit. We decorated more than any previous year and had a real tree. Tristan's grandparents joined us for the festivities. We ate lots of family traditional foods like Oyster stew, sausage casserole and sausage balls. We always watch the favorite movie a Christmas story. One day we'll get Tristan a Red Rider bb gun. Here are some pictures.

Its almost Tristan's 1st birthday. We can't believe its been a year already. To celebrate, we're having a pool party for Tristan at the elks club on the 14th. Our Little baby is now a toddler.
